Fort Worth, Texas (January 20, 2022) – Trademark Property Company, a mixed-use investor, developer and operator, welcomes Philip Welch as vice president of construction and development to guide construction efforts on the company’s multifamily developments.
“As we continue to expand our multifamily development capabilities, we wanted to add a strong individual to our roster who really understands the multifamily construction process from start to finish,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark. “Philip brings extensive experience working on and leading a variety of relevant construction projects, along with the intellect to keep up with industry changes.”
Prior to Trademark, Welch served as director of preconstruction for Weis Builders, Inc., where he began working as a project engineer and worked his way up over the last decade. Welch refined his field, communication, management, and leadership skills throughout those years to be awarded some of Weis Builders’ largest projects. During his tenure with Weis, Welch was responsible for several projects including, Maple + Mahon, a 12-story residential high-rise in Uptown Dallas, and Presbyterian Village North Senior Living Community expansion, the company’s largest project. He also led Weis Builders Texas office to record-breaking construction starts throughout the past two years.
“Philip will oversee our construction process and execution for multifamily and mixed-use developments,” said Chad Colley, Trademark’s Multifamily Partner. “We are thrilled to have Philip join the Trademark team as he will help ensure the success of our existing and future projects.”
“Trademark has an established reputation for developing best-in-class mixed-use projects, making multifamily development a natural addition to an already successful business,” said Welch. “I look forward to beginning this next chapter in my career and working on various multifamily/mixed-use projects in key markets.”
Welch earned a Bachelor of Science in construction science with a minor in business from Texas A&M University. Welch is also a LEED Green Associate on the U.S Green Building Council and an associate constructor for the American Institute of Constructors.
