CRG Names Cody Anderson as Southwest Regional Director of Construction Management

PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 7, 2022) — CRG, the national real estate development and investment firm, today announced it has hired Cody Anderson as director of construction management to help the firm continue its rapid industrial expansion in the Southwest Region. A 27-year veteran of the construction industry, Anderson will direct industrial site selection and analysis as well as planning, design and construction activities for ground-up and value-add industrial assets.

In his new role, Anderson will support two active master-planned industrial parks in the Phoenix market: The Cubes at Glendale and The Cubes at Mesa Gateway. The Cubes at Glendale is a 335-acre industrial park that upon completion will include 5.5 million square feet of speculative and build-to-suit warehouse and distribution facilities at the intersection of Reems Road and Northern Avenue in the West Valley submarket of Phoenix. The Cubes at Mesa Gateway is a 268-acre industrial park in Mesa, Ariz., that will have up to 4 million square feet of speculative and build-to-suit industrial space on the southeast corner of Pecos Road and Crismon Road, making it the largest development-ready industrial park in the Southeast Valley.

“Over the past year, we’ve significantly expanded our industrial presence in the Phoenix market, and we need leaders like Cody to help us keep pace with demand for our facilities in the Southwest, including from Fortune 500 companies,” said Mark Sonnenberg, senior vice president and partner, Southwest region for CRG. “Cody is highly regarded in the industry for his extensive expertise in construction management, and we’re excited to leverage his experience as we continue to execute CRG’s strategic vision in the Southwest.”

Prior to joining CRG, Anderson held leadership positions over a 27-year career with Bjerk Builders, where he was responsible for project management, general management, superintending, estimating, value engineering, and more. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from Western Colorado University.

“As we expand our industrial brand The Cubes across the Southwest, we will continue to hire the best talent to support our growth objectives and exceed our clients’ expectations,” said Shawn Clark, president of CRG. “Cody’s decades of experience in directing commercial construction supports that commitment to best-in-class execution of our projects across the region.”

CRG’s industrial brand, The Cubes, is designed with an emphasis on sustainability and implements state-of-the-art specifications, including maximum clear heights, dock doors, and trailer storage to keep pace with the shift to consumer-centric logistic strategies. Nationally, CRG has planned, broken ground, or completed over 43 million square feet of The Cubes-branded facilities throughout the U.S., with 25 million square feet delivered.
