PHOENIX (May 12, 2022) – Ware Malcomb announced Kevin Evernham is promoted to Regional Vice President of Ware Malcomb’s SW Region and Eric Zitny is promoted to Director, Regional Operations. In Evernham’s role, he is responsible for overall growth and management of the region including Dallas and Houston. In Zitny’s role, he oversees firm operations for the same region. Evernham joined Ware Malcomb’s Phoenix office in 2012, as a Senior Project Architect and was later promoted to Regional Manager. In 2015, he was promoted to Regional Director and in 2017, to Principal. In the past year, he assumed leadership of Ware Malcomb’s Southwest Region and in partnership with his leadership team, grew the company’s Southwest Region nearly 100%.
Throughout his career, Evernham has been the architect of record on more than 4,500 projects across the United States for high profile clients, including many Fortune 500 companies. He has designed award-winning projects including office, retail, industrial, restaurant, and multifamily.

Evernham earned his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and his Masters of Architecture from Arizona State University. He is a registered architect in all 50 U.S. States, and the District of Columbia. In addition, he is NCARB certified, a member of NAIOP and involved in many commercial real estate industry organizations. He recently spoke at the NAIOP I.CON West national industrial conference.
Eric Zitny joined Ware Malcomb’s Phoenix Architecture Studio in 2011 as a Production Coordinator. In the past eleven years, he has become a valued leader, managing the operations of the Phoenix office, overseeing regional operations across the Southwest, managing many projects, and leading the firm’s Revit adoption in 2013.

Zitny’s expertise includes managing projects through all phases of development, including establishing and monitoring budgets and preparing schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Project types he has executed include industrial, manufacturing, office, renovation, technology, retail, and hospitality.
Zitny holds a Bachelor of Science in Design, Architecture from Arizona State University and Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University. He is a licensed architect in Arizona and Texas, NCARB certified and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
