(SEPT. 23, 2021 – HOUSTON) – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces the expansion of its Texas Industrial Team with Carter Thurmond’s promotion to Vice President and relocation to the Austin office to lead Transwestern’s industrial platform for the Central Texas region. The company has seen a robust increase of demand across the state and Carter’s new role is part of the long-term plan for their Texas Industrial Team.

Thurmond will be responsible for expanding the industrial services division including sourcing opportunities for clients, project leasing and sales, and tenant and buyer representation services. In addition, Thurmond will oversee a recruiting effort to hire talented associates as he advances the industrial platform in the area.

Thurmond joined Transwestern in 2016 in the Houston Industrial Division as a project leasing agent for institutional and private clients. He had an immediate impact at the firm in the Houston market, delivering exceptional results for clients the past five years. Thurmond received the Transwestern National Rising Star Award in 2018 and has completed over 300 industrial transactions.
