Hanover Company Announces Houston-Based Development Partner, James Melody in New Industrial Division

Hanover Company is pleased to announce James Melody has been hired as development partner of Hanover Industrial, a new division of Hanover Company focused on developing industrial properties in the leading growth and logistics markets across the U.S.

Based in Houston, Melody will be responsible for overseeing Hanover Company’s development efforts in Texas market. He will oversee development opportunities in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.

Melody began his career at Morgan Stanley Mortgage Capital in New York City where he worked on the origination of commercial real estate debt for balance sheet and CMBS executions. He then joined Clarion Partners where, as a member of the firm’s East Coast acquisitions team, he directly contributed to the purchase of over $907 million in commercial property investments. He then moved back to Houston to bring his expertise to Lovett Industrial as director of industrial development, executing on over three million square feet of space across Texas.

Melody achieved his Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas.
