Matt Hurlbut now serves as Senior Vice President for Foundry with a primary focus on office landlord advisory services in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Prior to joining Foundry, Matt was a Principal at Transwestern in Dallas, where he directed the leasing and marketing efforts for several major office and medical properties. Prior to Transwestern, Matt served as Vice President, Investment Management for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments. He was responsible for asset management of 6.5 million square feet of office and industrial properties valued at over $500 million and owned by ten different clients. Matt’s responsibilities included the supervision of a staff of junior asset managers, valuations and hold/sell strategies, development of business plans and lease negotiations. He was responsible for direct lease negotiations resulting in consummated leases in excess of one million square feet in 1998.
For ten years, Matt spent his career in the investment advisory business with LaSalle Advisors, CB Richard Ellis Investors and Lend Lease Real Estate Investments. He was responsible for all aspects of asset management of office, industrial, multifamily, special use and retail properties owned by various large pension funds.
Matt began his real estate career in 1983 as an Office Leasing Agent with Southland Investment Properties, the developer of Las Colinas. Subsequently, he worked as a Leasing Agent for a portfolio of office and industrial properties for Nova Property Company and Shannon Management Services, Inc.
Matt was recognized for the greatest number of lease transactions several times and is a perennial Transwestern Top Producer. He has also been named a “Heavy Hitter” by the Dallas Business Journal and a Power Broker by D CEO and CoStar.
