Merriman Anderson Architects announces director of hospitality, historic/adaptive reuse promotion

Merriman Anderson Architects (MAA) named Jennifer Picquet-Reyes, a principal in the firm, as the director of hospitality, historic/adaptive reuse. In her new expanded role, Picquet-Reyes will continue to lead project teams while driving and expanding MAA’s adaptive reuse and architectural hospitality footprint.

Picquet-Reyes has been with the firm for 12 years and has made significant contributions in a wide variety of markets. Her new title more accurately reflects the market sectors that have been her primary focus during her tenure at MAA. 

Picquet-Reyes is one of three principals at MAA and supports the firm’s commitment to design excellence, familial culture and client service. She contains expert knowledge and experience with historic preservation, LEED certification, adaptive reuse, design, construction schedule, document coordination and construction administration for projects of all types across the country. Picquet-Reyes has helped bring over 20 abandoned buildings back to life in downtown Dallas through her dedication to revitalizing historic buildings. 

Hartman announces new leasing transactions in Dallas and Houston

Hartman INCOME REIT MANAGEMENT, Inc. has recently announced two leasing transactions in Texas:

  1. Integrated Telecom Solutions renewed 2,018 square feet at 12221 Merit Drive in Dallas. In the transaction, Alex Houston represented the landlord, Hartman Income REIT Management, Inc. 
  2. ZAP Engineering & Construction Services Inc. Expanded 3,610 square feet at 15995 N. Barkers Landing Road in Houston. In the transaction, Kacie Skeen represented the landlord, Hartman Income REIT Management, Inc.

JLL Dallas hires veteran duo to bolster industrial brokerage team

JLL is proud to announce that Kurt Griffin and Nathan Orbin have joined the Dallas office as managing directors, specializing in landlord and tenant representation.

Orbin and Griffin bring decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry and have closed more than 17 million square feet in industrial leases in the last three years. Cresa represents Careismatic Brands in its new 1,014,254-square-foot industrial lease in Dallas

Cresa’s Jim Hazard, SIOR and Brad Struck, SIOR, represented California-based Careismatic Brands in its 1,014,254-square-foot, full building lease at I-20 Logistics Park located at 35550 LBJ Freeway in Dallas. This is a consolidation of multiple warehouses across the country.

The new distribution facility features 40-foot clear ceiling height, 170 dock-high doors and trailer parking for 246. Most notably, the logistics park has direct access to I-20 and is conveniently accessible to I-35E, I-45 and the second-largest FedEx Ground facility in the U.S.

Careismatic Brands is a leading designer, marketer and distributor of high-quality uniforms, footwear, and accessories to retailers distributing its products globally into more than 50 countries. Careismatic Brands manages operations through its centralized distribution center in Dallas, with a global sourcing model.

Partners Real Estate brokers sale of office building on 0.5 acres in Dallas

Partners Real Estate (Partners), one of the largest independent commercial real estate firms in Texas, arranged the sale of a 2,249-square-foot office building on 0.5 acres of land located at 8363 Meadow Road in Dallas.

Partners’ Ryan McCullough, Tyler Jaynes, and Bennett Greenbaum represented the seller, Isla Firenze LTD in the transaction.

Partners Real Estate adds Hanes Chatham, Jr. as partner in Dallas

Partners Real Estate (Partners), one of the largest independent commercial real estate firms in Texas—and the company formerly known as NAI Partners—today announced that Hanes Chatham Jr. has joined the firm as a partner in the firm’s Dallas Office. Mr. Chatham Jr. comes to Partners from Stream, as a Partner less than two months after Partners’ opened its Dallas office at 1717 McKinney Street.

Mr. Chatham is a decorated commercial real estate veteran with 15 years of experience. Prior to joining Partners, Mr. Chatham worked at Stream Realty Partners for 12 years, where he specialized in industrial services with a focus on tenant representation, building sales, and project leasing. CoStar has recognized Mr. Chatham as one of Dallas’ Power Brokers, and he serves on the Stemmons Corridor Business Association (SCBA).

As a native Texan from Fort Worth, Mr. Chatham has lived in Texas all of his life. Before moving to Fort Worth, he grew up on a quarter-horse ranch in Aubrey, Texas. He attended Southern Methodist University, where he played rugby and became a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. In addition to earning a Bachelor of Science in economics with finance, Hanes is also a CCIM candidate.

The addition of Mr. Chatham to the Partners team comes on the heels of a busy few months for the company, which not only rebranded in September but also recently announced the opening of its Dallas office and expansion into North Texas commercial real estate markets, as well as tapping Jerod Hangartner to lead brokerage services in Dallas.  The Dallas office now has 15 people in a short time.
