Senior Vice President Ross Colley has joined the Edge Realty Partners team in Austin, Texas.

With a background in leasing over a million square feet of retail and a reputation for identifying overlooked opportunities, Colley brings a sharp analytical mind and creative problem-solving approach to unlocking value for his clients, specializing in investment sales, land transactions, and value-add opportunities throughout the Central Texas market.

Colley began his real estate career while attending the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Economics and Urban Studies. After school, Ross managed shopping center portfolios in Dallas and Atlanta before shifting his focus to value-add investments and development.

Known for his ability to “see around corners,” Colley thrives on dissecting financials, challenging assumptions, and uncovering upside where others might not look.

Partners hires veteran property management leader Mark Nicholson as Managing Director of Property Services

Mr. Nicholson’s hiring is a testament to Partners’ Property Services division’s considerable upward momentum. Earlier this year, the company brought on highly regarded industry veteran Tracy Shuey to lead the firm’s Property Services operations in San Antonio, a role in which she has quickly excelled in driving business development and expanding the company’s capabilities and presence in Central Texas.

Mr. Nicholson brings more than two decades of experience in real estate and property management to his role leading Property Services at Partners. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Real Estate at Group RMC. Prior to that, he spent nearly 15 years at CBRE, holding significant leadership roles, including Senior Managing Director and Market Leader for Property Management in the DFW Metroplex and Senior Managing Director for Asset Services, specializing in office practice across the Americas. His background also includes property management leadership at Cushman & Wakefield and Premisys Real Estate Services.

Stream Realty Partners appoints Tom Boyer as Senior Director of Project Management in Dallas

In partnership with Bobby Kunkle, Senior Director of Project Management Services, Boyer will help advance Stream’s occupier services project management and development platform. Boyer brings two decades of commercial real estate experience, with expertise spanning corporate headquarters, law firm buildouts, and repositioning projects. Before joining Stream, he served as Senior Director at CBRE, where he led some of the firm’s most intricate interior office projects, including headquarters for Host Hotels & Resorts and CGI Federal, and high-profile law firm offices for Jenner & Block and Wiley Rein.

Before CBRE, Boyer advanced through various leadership positions at rand* construction, gaining extensive experience in project execution, preconstruction, staffing, and marketing. He began his career building single-family homes with Ryan Homes on the East Coast before transitioning to commercial interiors amid the national housing downturn.

CBRE announces Jeremy McGown as Dallas-Fort Worth Market Leader

CBRE announced the appointment of Jeremy McGown to Executive Managing Director and Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Market Leader for the company’s Advisory business.

In this role, McGown will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations for all DFW Advisory Services lines of business, including leasing, sales, valuations, debt and structured finance and property management across all property types.

This appointment follows the promotion of Brooke Armstrong, formerly the Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana Market Leader, to leader of the U.S. Advisory Services West Region & Texas. 

McGown joined CBRE in 2022 as Senior Managing Director of the DFW Occupier group. Under his guidance, the DFW Occupier team consistently delivered comprehensive solutions to clients throughout the metroplex and surrounding regions.  Prior to joining CBRE, he spent nearly a decade at JLL as one of their top producers with experience across the office, industrial, healthcare, and retail sectors before moving into a leadership role. He also brings valuable experience and discipline from his years as an officer in the United States Navy.

JPI broke ground on Jefferson Kirbybrook, a 269-home, townhome community in Grand Prairie, Texas. 

Jefferson Kirbybrook will provide a mix of two- and three-bedroom, two-story townhomes, each featuring private yards and garages. Residents will also enjoy access to a range of amenities, including a resort-style pool and lounge, modern clubhouse, fitness center, dog park, and outdoor grilling areas. 

Located just off Great Southwest Parkway, the community will benefit from direct access to TX 360, I-20 and SH 161 (George Bush), connecting the major employment hubs, airports, retail, and recreation of the surrounding area. Some examples of these include Lockheed Martin, General Motors, Texas Health Resources, DFW Airport, the University of Texas at Arlington, Grand Prairie Premium Outlets, IKEA, and Epic Central, home to Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark and Bolder Adventure Park.

 JLL Capital Markets arranged the sale of Preston Stonebrook, a 53,553-square-foot retail center in Frisco, Texas.

JLL worked on behalf of the seller, Venture Investment Partners. Their team of seasoned real estate experts, led by Bo Brownlee and Easley Waggoner, Jr., creates significant value through strategic improvements and enhancements, leveraging extensive industry knowledge to maximize investment returns.

Built in 1997, the 93%-leased Preston Stonebrook features a strong tenant mix with key retailers including Plato’s Closet, Emler Swim School, Dogtopia and Horizon Hot Yoga. The property has demonstrated impressive leasing momentum with over 24,000 square feet of recent leasing activity and tenants averaging 10.6 years of tenure.
