NewSouth Window Solutions enters Texas with 13,500-SF lease in Northwest Houston

Transwestern Real Estate Services announced that NewSouth Window Solutions has leased two suites at 15120 Northwest Freeway and 6961 Brookhollow W. Drive at Park 8 | 290 in Houston. Transwestern’s Carter Thurmond, Brian Gammill and Jude Filippone provided agency leasing services on behalf of the landlord, Blue Ridge Industrial, which acquired the office/warehouse park in fourth quarter 2019. “Park 8 | 290 provides NewSouth Window Solutions with great access and visibility to make a successful entry into the Houston market,” said Thurmond. “The park’s accommodations, strategic location and strong image were important factors in the tenant’s decision to lease the space, and we look forward to NewSouth calling Park 8 | 290 its Houston home for years to come.” The seven-year lease marks the Florida company’s first expansion into the Texas market and encompasses a portion of two separate buildings within the Class A office/warehouse park. Now 90 percent leased, Park 8 | 290 is made up of five rear-load buildings totaling 185,850 square feet and offers some of the best visibility in Houston’s Northwest submarket, including direct access to Beltway 8 and Highway 290. The property also boasts ample parking, loading capabilities and access to a strong customer base, with 1.3 million people within a 10-mile radius. NAI Partners arranges 12,000-SF industrial lease for Supreme Plant Services in Houston

NAI Partners recently arranged a 11,900-square-foot industrial lease for Supreme Plant Services, LLC at 10425 Moers Road in Houston. NAI Partners’ Zane Carman and Clay Pritchett represented the landlord in the transaction, while Colliers International’s Barrett Gibson represented the tenant.

Tallest multifamily tower west of Uptown Houston tops out

The McKinley Memorial City, a 278-unit luxury apartment high-rise from developer MetroNational, recently celebrated its topping out. The 25-story residential tower is the tallest west of Uptown Houston and is slated to be completed in Q4 2021. A ten-foot pine tree was hoisted up, signifying the last beam of construction and a significant milestone for the project. The 332,231-square-foot high-rise, located at 9757 Katy Freeway, is on the southwest corner of Bunker Hill Road and the Katy Freeway. The McKinley will serve as the anchor of a new four-acre mixed use development in Memorial City. Ziegler Cooper Architects designed the project and Anslow Bryant Construction is the general contractor.
