Dallas Business Journal Fort Worth-based developer Trademark Property Co. has formally closed on the acquisition of a 3.5-acre tract contiguous to its 278,000-square-foot WestBend mixed-use development along the Trinity River within Fort Worth’s University District.

Johnson Development Corp. – which has built more than a dozen communities in the Houston area – is negotiating to purchase the $1.3 billion, 1,700-acre Trinity Falls development located north of McKinney near U.S. Highway 75.

Emeryville, California-based Jamba Inc. — which owns and franchises Jamba Juice stores — plans to relocate its headquarters to Frisco’s Hall Office Park, bringing more than 100 corporate jobs to North Texas.
Jamba has signed a lease for about 25,000 square feet of office space at 3001 Dallas Parkway in Hall Office Park, which will include about 19,000 square feet of office and meeting space, as well as a roughly 6,000-square-foot test kitchen and retail store front.

Less than two months after announcing it would be purchased by New York private equity firm Apollo Global Management, The Fresh Market is shuttering its four North Texas stores.
In a news release issued Tuesday afternoon, the specialty grocer said it will plans to shut down all of its locations in Texas, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas, totaling 13 stores in all. The closures come after the company examined its organizational analysis, growth strategy and long-term financial analysis, it said in the release.
