A Houston firm that’s one of the largest developers of residential communities in Texas is in talks to buy a large project in Collin County.

Johnson Development Corp. – which has built more than a dozen communities in the Houston area – is negotiating to purchase the $1.3 billion, 1,700-acre Trinity Falls development located north of McKinney near U.S. Highway 75.
