Eleven Downtown El Paso buildings, including five historic gems, would be sold to the highest bidder in a bankruptcy court auction under a proposed agreement in the bankruptcy cases of embattled property owner William “Billy” Abraham.
El Paso businessmen Paul Foster and Miguel Fernandez, who had been trying to buy most of Abraham’s Downtown buildings, made the proposed agreement with Ronald Ingalls, the Chapter 11 bankruptcy trustee overseeing the bankruptcy cases, during an 11-hour mediation session Aug. 28.
