A Colorado-based furniture distributor intends to buy nearly two dozen acres of land for a large industrial development.

American Furniture Warehouse Co. intends to purchase 23 acres at 21404 Gulf Freeway to build a 350,000-square-foot showroom, distribution center and warehouse, an American Furniture Warehouse employee confirmed to the Houston Business Journal. The announcement was originally released by the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, which received its information on the deal from the city of Webster, a Bay Area Houston spokesperson said.
