Major power company moving from GreenStreet to One Shell Plaza

NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE: NRG), a power generation company based in New Jersey and Houston, is moving into the former One Shell Plaza building downtown.

NRG will move in the spring and vacate about 250,000 square feet in GreenStreet, a mixed-use development at 1201 Fannin downtown, according to a statement from NRG. The Houston Chronicle reports NRG will sublease 431,307 square feet at 910 Louisiana, a 50-story, 1.6 million-square-foot tower that Shell Oil Co. recently vacated.
