Global engineering firm Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) could acquire another U.S.-based company, which, if successful, could give the Dallas-based engineering firm a much-needed stronghold in the United Kingdom.

Jacobs has been working to expand its operations in England in recent years because the market has massive growth potential for the global engineering firm, which recently moved its worldwide headquarters to downtown Dallas.
