Marshall Ballard has joined The Howard Hughes Corp. as its director of business development.

In this role, Ballard will focus on office, industrial, medical build-to-suit projects, and ground lease opportunities within the company’s master-planned communities in Houston (The Woodlands and Bridgeland); Las Vegas (Summerlin); and Columbia, MD.

Ballard comes to The Howard Hughes Corp. after previously serving as principal of Ballard Brokerage Advisory, a real estate brokerage and property management services company he founded in Dallas.

A 15-year industry veteran, Ballard has also worked for N3 Real Estate, The Weitzman Group, Transwestern and Goldman Sachs Archon Group.

Ballard earned his undergraduate degree in business administration and history, and his MBA in finance and economics, from LSU. He is a Texas Real Estate Broker and member of the Texas Real Estate Commission, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and International Council of Shopping Centers.
