Major tech co. to sell EaDo building, moves into new HQ

ChaiOne, a Houston-based enterprise software and mobile app developer, has moved into a new headquarters in Houston, but not in East Downtown, where it originally planned.

Instead, the company has taken 11,500 square feet of space on the top floor at 1800 West Loop South in the Galleria. The new space is more than double what it previously occupied at 4900 Woodway, Gaurav Khandelwal, founder and CEO, told the Houston Business Journal.

The original plan was to move into the 25,000-square-foot building that served as the oilfield service giant Schlumberger Ltd.’s (NYSE: SLB) first U.S. headquarters in 1938. However, construction issues and an ever-expanding timeline hampered the move, forcing ChaiOne to look elsewhere.
