Maravilla at The Domain Tapped for NAHB Best 55+ Gold Award

AUSTIN, TEXAS—February 23, 2022. Maravilla at The Domain, Senior Resource Group’s (SRG) luxury retirement community in the heart of Austin’s exclusive residential and retail district, announced the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) has awarded Maravilla the NAHB’s prestigious Best 55+ Gold Award for Full Continuum Community. The award was presented February 8, 2022, in Orlando, Florida coinciding with SRG’s 34th anniversary as the premier and nationally recognized award-winning developer and operator of luxury senior living communities throughout the United States.

During a four-day judging process, diverse panel of 13 industry professionals from across the country — including knowledgeable peers and industry experts, each with a proven record of success in various facets of this specialized sector — selected the 2022 Gold Award winners from a field of more than 1,200 entries.

Trez Capital Commits to 304-Unit Development Project in San Marcos

Trez Capital announced the closing of an equity investment in partnership with Thompson Realty Capital, LLC for the development of a garden-style multifamily project in San Marcos to be called La Cima. With a total development cost in excess of $50 million, this project marks a key addition to the company’s development fund, the Trez Capital Private Real Estate Fund Trust.

The La Cima project is located in Hays County along the I-35 corridor and is approximately 30 minutes from Austin and San Antonio. Spanning 21 acres, the project will include 304 units with attached and detached garages in two- and three-story buildings. Residents will experience Texas Hill Country apartment living with unsurpassed views and mature oak trees throughout the property. La Cima will feature a Class-A leasing office, amenity center and resort-style pool.

La Cima is an example of Trez Capital’s joint-venture partnership program which provides experienced developers with equity financing for value-add and ground-up developments in key markets with strong population, employment and GDP growth. In these areas, Trez Capital targets investments in the multifamily, single-family for rent, industrial and self storage asset classes. Trez Capital, along with its development partners, intends to provide capital appreciation for investors through the development process and sustainable income from holding properties over the long-term.

An affiliate of Thompson Realty Capital, LLC will serve as property manager upon project completion. The La Cima project marks the eighth joint-venture project with Trez Capital and Thompson Realty Capital.

The project is expected to complete in December 2023.

VLK Architects and PBTISD Break Ground on Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field

(Pecos, Texas) – On February 15, 2022, VLK Architects joined Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD to celebrate breaking ground on the construction of Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field.

Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field will be the home to the Pecos High School Eagles and serve as a premier event stadium. Once complete, this stadium will be able to host football and soccer games, track and field events, band competitions, and more.

“We are excited to bring a new, dynamic stadium to PBTISD that will be the envy of other districts across West Texas,” said Brent Jaco, Superintendent of PBTISD. “Though the former structure is gone, the land remains … this land has been the site of athletic events for over 90 years in the community. So, the memories will always remain for everyone that comes through PBTISD.”

The project includes a new pressbox, home and visitor seating, concession stands, and restrooms. Along with the stadium’s reconstruction, there will be new turf, a resurfaced track, and state-of-the-art lighting.

The project is scheduled to be complete by August 2022.

Oracle America Leases Two Full Floors at Hartman’s Spectrum Office Building in San Antonio, TX

February 14, 2022 (San Antonio, TX)—Austin-based Oracle America Inc. (Oracle), the designer and manufacturer of network computing infrastructure solutions, has renewed its two full-floor office lease at The Spectrum Building, a class A office building in San Antonio owned and managed by Hartman Income REIT Management Inc. (Hartman). The 35,000 square foot lease makes it the largest single-tenant in the 10-floor office building with the capacity to accommodate over 260 Oracle employees.
