Foundry Commercial is pleased to announce that Cynthia Cowen has joined the company’s Mission Property Group as Senior Vice President, based in the Dallas office.
With more than three decades of experience in commercial real estate, Cowen has built a reputation for representing iconic properties across North Texas. Among her more well-known leasing assignments are The Towers at Williams Square, Hall Park Frisco, Frisco Station, One Victory Park, and Urban Towers. A native of Dallas, Cowen has known since childhood that she wanted to become a commercial real estate broker, inspired by a close family friend in the industry.
Cowen brings more than two decades of commercial real estate experience to Foundry, including 15 years with Cousins Properties, where she was part of a team later acquired by Cushman & Wakefield. She continued her work in agency leasing at Cushman & Wakefield for nearly eight years, representing some of the most prominent landlords in the region. After connecting with several members of Foundry’s Dallas office, Cowen said the company’s Mission Property Group stood out as a rare opportunity to align her personal sense of purpose with her professional expertise.
“I’ve spent my career cultivating strong relationships and helping property owners create value,” Cowen said. “When I learned that Foundry has a dedicated team that provides real estate solutions that empower churches, schools, and non-profits to better serve their communities, I realized this was a chance to use my background in a way that could truly make a difference.”
Foundry’s Mission Property Group is a specialized division within the broader real estate platform that focuses exclusively on helping mission-driven organizations unlock the potential of their real estate. Whether navigating relocations, redevelopments, or long-term strategies, the team serves as a trusted advisor to institutions with transformational community goals.
“Cynthia brings not only a wealth of experience, but also a deep desire to do something meaningful with the next chapter of her career,” said Matt Messier, SIOR, CCIM, who leads Foundry’s Mission Property Group. “Her calling to serve makes her an ideal fit for our team, where we see tremendous opportunity to help churches, not-for-profits, and educational institutions use their real estate more effectively to further their missions.”
Cowen is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and has been active in the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Dallas chapter for more than 25 years. She is also a supporter and volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Dallas and Haven of Love.
