ME Engineers is proud to announce the promotion of Tim deNagy, PE to Associate Principal. With over 20 years of experience and 13 years with ME Engineers, Tim has made significant contributions as an electrical engineer specializing in power distribution systems for professional and collegiate sports venues, civic projects and higher education buildings. His work includes Globe Life Field, McKinney Apex Centre, and Grapevine Public Safety Complex.

Colliers has added Wes Babb to its Austin, Texas, office as Senior Vice President.

With over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Babb brings deep expertise in retail development, investment brokerage, and tenant and landlord representation.

Before joining Colliers, Babb was Senior Vice President at SRS Real Estate Partners, specializing in commercial land sales, retail property development, leasing of shopping centers and mixed-use projects, and representation of tenants in their site selection and lease space needs. Earlier in his career, Babb held leadership roles with Weitzman and Lincoln Property Company, managing retail divisions across the Austin and San Antonio regions. These roles solidified his reputation as an innovator and leader in the retail real estate sector.

Throughout his career, Babb has managed over 4 million square feet of transactions valued in excess of $600 million, including hundreds of lease transactions, purchase and sale transactions, and 50-plus pad site acquisitions for development in Austin and San Antonio. Notable projects in Central Texas include Shops at the Galleria, Frontier Crossing, Red Oak Village, and the Northcross Mall redevelopment.

JLL is boosting its existing sustainability services by forming the Energy Advisory and Sustainability practice. Led by clean energy expert Josephine Tucker, the team works across JLL’s business lines and industries to serve real estate investors and commercial and public sector clients.

With core competencies across engineering; finance and procurement; energy modelling; and project and program management, the new practice helps clients meet ambitious sustainability goals while navigating uncertain energy markets, evolving regulation and increasing consumer expectations. A comprehensive team of Energy Advisory and Sustainability’s technical specialists provide expertise on energy sourcing; efficiency; and end-use optimization, including technology integration such as EV-charging, on-site/off-site renewables, battery storage and microgrid solutions.

The next few years are essential for building owners and occupiers to leverage the net-zero transition. According to JLL, successfully decarbonizing buildings depends on three main elements: energy efficiency, electrification and clean energy sources – all areas of specialty for the Energy Advisory and Sustainability practice.

As Americas Head of Energy Advisory and Sustainability, Tucker reports to Rishi. She joined JLL in 2022 to lead JLL’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Advisory services to address aging infrastructure and provide renewable transaction services to clients. Prior to joining JLL, she amassed more than 15 years of experience in energy, real estate and transportation, with a focus on strategy, finance and economic analyses.

Houston, TX – AG|CM is pleased to announce that Marty Schmitt has been named President, effective Jan 1, 2022. Schmitt is replacing the current AG|CM President and founder, Derwood Anderson. Mr. Anderson will serve as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Schmitt has been with the company for 15 years, previously serving as Chief Operations Officer, and Vice President of the East Region. He joined the company in 2007 as a project manager in the headquarters’ office in Corpus Christi. In his early years with AG|CM, Mr. Schmitt managed several large projects for the Texas A&M System, as well as part of the team managing a capital improvements program for the City of Corpus Christi. He relocated to Houston in 2014 to assist the opening of the East Texas office. Since that time, AG|CM has grown to five regional offices in Corpus Christi, Austin, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.

“I am excited about serving as President and the future outlook for AG|CM,” said Mr. Schmitt. “Our incredible growth over the last 5 years, even during the pandemic, is all due to our amazing employees and loyal clients.“

Mr. Schmitt has over 23 years of construction industry experience, starting his career in Boston, MA. Starting as an intern and later as a full-time employee, he worked on one of the largest heavy civil projects in the United States, “The Big Dig.” In 2002, Mr. Schmitt was transferred to Corpus Christi, TX.

Nancy has spent over 13 years in Thomson Reuters’ Product Management & Editorial teams, serving both legal and tax professional customers. Currently, she is Vice President, Product Management, leading Thomson Reuters’ tax & accounting research platforms and its suite of compliance research products. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Nancy was a partner in the antitrust & competition group at a global, large law firm.
