Dallas’ StreetLights Residential names chief people officer

StreetLights Residential, a Dallas-based developer of luxury multifamily and mixed-use communities, promoted Rachel Koonsman to Chief People Officer.

In this role, Koonsman leads the company’s culture team, overseeing training, hiring, HR and benefits, team building, internal communication, and office environment.

Over the past eight years, Koonsman has helped shape and amplify the company’s unique culture, which prioritizes transparency, collaboration, and a commitment to every team member’s success. She previously served as Senior Vice President of Engagement and under her leadership, StreetLights has implemented initiatives that set the company apart as an exceptional workplace.

Koonsman has streamlined the company’s unique approach to hiring, with the first round of interviews focused on ensuring candidates resonate with the organization’s core values and culture, and the second round focused on functional proficiency.

She was instrumental in developing the firm’s onboarding program called “Becoming StreetLights,” a two-day session for new hires which introduces them to the company’s purpose and values. She also supports each employee’s personal growth with the firm’s extensive training programs, including “SLR Way,” ensuring professional development is supported at all levels.

JLL names head of industries, leasing advisory

JLL appointed Travis McCready as the Head of Industries, Leasing Advisory.

In this new role, McCready now oversees brokerage and advisory for JLL’s key global industry verticals, including Aerospace and Defense, Data Centers, Energy, Financial Services, Healthcare, Higher Education, Life Sciences and Technology.

McCready has amassed more than 25 years of experience leading public, private and non-profit organizations. His expertise in science and technology-based real estate and innovation infrastructure supports pharmaceutical and biotech clients in their mission to deliver groundbreaking medicines and therapies to patients around the world. Based in Boston, he joined JLL in 2020 as Head of Life Sciences, Americas Markets. He also chairs JLL’s Global Life Sciences Advisory Board and is a member of the firm’s Innovation Districts Practice that provides strategic advisory services across the world.

McCready seeks to ensure JLL’s platform delivers the highest level of expertise, service and strategic engagement to industries that rely on real estate and infrastructure to deliver value. He’s focused on deepening relationships with clients across various sectors to provide innovative real estate strategies and services tailored to each core global industry’s unique business model.

Outside of JLL, he is active in the global innovation community, serving as board director of global business accelerator MassChallenge; global life sciences business enabler Nucleate; Canadian life sciences ecosystem builder adMare BioInnovations and Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He also serves in advisory capacities at numerous R1 research universities, including Johns Hopkins University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, University of Massachusetts and the University of Toronto.

McCready succeeds Executive Managing Director David Houck, who has spent more than 30 years in a variety of leadership roles at JLL and is stepping back from day-to-day management responsibilities to focus on other initiatives within the company.

Diane Earnest, PE promoted to Senior Associate at RLG Consulting Engineers

RLG Consulting Engineers is pleased to announce the promotion of Diane Ernest from Associate to Senior Associate. With more than 25 years of experience in civil engineering, Diane has played a key role in leading projects across commercial, parking, and retail developments. Her adaptability and deep understanding of client needs make her an essential part of the RLG team. In her new role, Diane’s leadership and extensive expertise will support RLG’s continued growth and success.

Landan Dory, North Star Brokerage & Advisory

Landan Dory is the founder and CEO of North Star Brokerage & Advisory, specializing in RV park, MHC, and Outdoor Hospitality investment sales. He leverages his expertise in 1031 exchanges to help clients reinvest sale proceeds into passive investments, saving millions in taxes. Previously, he specialized in net lease investment sales, closing 150+ transactions across 21 states. Landan lives in Steiner Ranch with his wife, Megan, and their two sons, enjoying family time, fitness, and golf.

John Absher hired at Wilson Cribbs + Goren

Absher represents investors and business owners in a wide range of real estate transactions, including but not limited to purchase agreements, survey and title reviews, objection letters, commercial lease negotiations, and limited partnerships for commercial real estate developments.

Absher earned a BA in History from Harvard University, and a JD from Tulane University School of Law. He is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

William Minter hired at BEI Engineers
