Lankford’s New Lease in Bellaire Extends Their Growth Throughout Houston

Houston, April 22, 2022 – Colliers is pleased to announce Lankford’s has signed a 3,200 square foot lease in 5200 Bissonnet Center located at 5200 Bissonnet Street in Bellaire, Texas.

Lankford’s has been a Houston restaurant staple since the 1930’s when it was converted from an old garage in Montrose to a place serving authentic American burgers, tater tots and fries, and some of the most delicious breakfast items with a true TexMex spin. Lankford’s has been owned and operated by the Lankford family for 85 years. In June 2021, the third generation of the family, Paul and Jessica Prior took over ownership.

“We have been part of the 4th Ward/Midtown community for over 85 years and we are excited to now be part of the Bellaire community,” said Paul Prior, owner of Lankford’s. “Being part of a family and community are important to us as we look to grow Lankford’s throughout Houston and its suburbs. We have our eyes on The Heights, East End, and Fulshear already.”

Originally named Lankford Grocery & Market, Paul and Jessica are making some changes to the existing location at 88 Dennis Street in Houston to increase sales with extended hours, easier paying accommodations and shortening the classic name, all while continuing to perfect their menu. He has the vision to take Lankford’s across Houston with Bellaire as their first stop.

The new location at 5200 Bissonnet Center is situated just outside 610 Loop, south of the Southwest Freeway with frontage on Bissonnet Street, 5th Street and Cedar Street.

The landlord, Sion and Michael Saghian, was represented by Emily Durham and Megan Lahti of Waterman Steele. Hannah Tosch and Wade Greene of Colliers represented the tenant, Lankford’s, in the transaction.

The property is located in Houston’s Southwest retail submarket. The submarket contains 19.3 million square feet of retail space, which is currently 95.6 percent occupied.
