McFarland PLLC announces the addition of Nick Victor as a Condemnation Attorney in the firm’s Dallas office.

Nick began his career as an associate attorney at a civil litigation and appellate firm after a stint playing professional basketball in the Norway professional league (BLNO). He earned his B.A. from Yale University and his J.D. cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

He will focus on eminent domain and condemnation litigation matters.

Tom began his career as an associate attorney at a complex commercial litigation firm after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Sim Lake of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He earned his J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law.

He will focus on eminent domain and condemnation litigation.

Sean Shumpert has been promoted to Tax Incentives Senior Manager at Calvetti Ferguson’s Houston office. A licensed Professional Engineer in 29 states, Sean brings a unique blend of engineering and project management expertise to his role. He works closely with clients across diverse sectors, including construction, building design, manufacturing, and energy, to deliver specialized tax incentive consulting solutions that drive value and innovation.

Over his career, Sean has transacted on an excess of $10 billion USD. Prior to Dalfen Industrial, Sean worked at NAI Commercial as an Investment Sales Broker where he was one of the company’s Top 10 producers in Canada.

Sean is involved in a variety of philanthropic activities, sits on the boards of multiple charitable organizations and is a frequent speaker and panelist at private equity & commercial real estate industry events. Sean studied Psychology and Finance at Tel Aviv University’s Lowy School and McGill University.

 WindMass Credit, the structured finance division of WindMass Capital, announced today that Lance Wright has joined the firm as Chief Production Officer. In this role, Mr. Wright will lead loan origination and production efforts as WindMass Credit focuses on providing five-year, fixed-rate, senior mortgage debt with participation across multifamily real estate. WindMass Credit is focused on Sunbelt and Central United States markets with loans sizing between $5mm and $35mm. 

Mr. Wright brings over 30 years of real estate lending experience and a long track record of 

production success. He joins WindMass Credit from Greystone, where he served as a Managing Director, originating multifamily and commercial loans nationwide. Prior to Greystone, Mr. Wright was Managing Director at Lightstone Capital Group, where he led origination efforts across the Central and Southeast Regions. 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wright opened the Dallas office for ACORE Capital in 2015, overseeing origination and underwriting across the Central Region. During his five years there, he closed over $4 billion of debt volume. Prior to ACORE, Mr. Wright spent 18 years at GE Capital Real Estate (formerly Heller Financial) in multiple roles, including Regional Director, where he was consistently one of the top producers nationwide and closed more than $10 billion of debt volume.

Mr. Wright is a native Texan and earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2008, he was recognized as one of the “20 Rising Stars in Real Estate” by Institutional Investor News.
