Massimo Giaffari hired at Perkins&Will Houston

Massimo Giaffari has joined the Houston studio of Perkins&Will as Associate Principal and Director of Operations. A registered architect with over 20 years of experience, Giaffari specializes in healthcare planning and design, having led multidisciplinary teams to deliver transformative projects across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East. Giaffari’s responsibilities will include business operations as well as guiding a vision for the future of the Houston studio.

Jake Guarino hired at Wilson Cribbs + Goren

Guarino joined Wilson Cribbs + Goren’s team of attorneys upon graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in May 2024. His work with the firm focuses on identifying, assessing, and resolving various land use and traditional commercial real estate matters across all asset types.
Guarino earned his B.A. in Political Science and respective minors in Ethics and Law & Legal Reasoning from Southern Methodist University.

Cresa’s Dallas office adds principal to Supply Chain Advisory Services group

Cresa hired Rob Saper as a principal with its Supply Chain Advisory Services group.

Leveraging his experience running in-house logistics operations for some of the world’s most recognized companies, he will focus on developing Cresa’s supply chain business across the U.S.  He will be based in the firm’s Dallas office. 

Saper has spent most of his 30+ year career serving as an executive at companies such as Advance Auto Parts, Office Depot, and True Value. Over the last several years he has driven significant growth via M&A and synergy attainment across the globe valued at more than $50+ million. 

Most recently he was the General Manager at Dexter Axle Company and Senior Vice President Supply Chain for Advance Auto Parts. Before that, he was Vice President of Global Operations at Brightstar Corp. where, during his tenure, the company was awarded the prestigious Gartner Supply Chainnovator Award for global supply chain innovation in the consumer product/retail sector.

Marysa Raymond hired at Middle Street Partners

Raymond is a multifamily veteran with over two decades of experience at leading organizations like Riverstone and Greystar. During her time with Greystar, Raymond directed property management efforts for 15K conventional units valued at over $3B in South Carolina and Georgia. At Entrata, she was responsible for global and domestic sales strategies for Greystar, as well as technology and innovation deployment strategies for institutional clients and prospects.

Travis Canova hired at BDO USA

Travis Canova has joined BDO USA as a Managing Director in the firm’s Forensics practice. Canova has extensive experience advising clients, boards, and their counsel on issues involving fraud and misconduct, financial statement irregularities, corporate compliance, and other complex risks. During his career, he has held increasing roles at a national accounting firm and Fortune 500 company, in addition to serving as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Weitzman names new VP in Austin office

Andrew Alvarado has been promoted to vice president with the retail brokerage division of Weitzman, one of the largest commercial real estate services firms based in Texas. 

At Weitzman, Alvarado handles retail tenant representation, retail project representation, site selection and analysis and general brokerage. He works in the company’s Austin, Texas, office. 

Alvarado is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
