Dunaway has appointed Scott Heal, MBA to Associate. Scott currently serves as a Civil Engineering Lead, where he manages operations and strategy for the civil line of business across Dunaway’s six offices. Practicing intent-based leadership, Scott excels at building and transforming teams to achieve success. In addition to his role at Dunaway, Scott serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Alex Perry, SIOR joins Foundry Commercial as Sr. Vice President focused on land and industrial real estate in Texas and other areas of the U.S. During his career, he has completed over $300 million in land acquisitions and is responsible for 15 million+ square feet of speculative and build-to-suit industrial development. Among the rising next generation of national talent in the land business, he has established himself as the go-to broker on the buy side for many major institutional developers.
Dunaway has appointed Janel Moody, LI to Associate. Janel currently serves as a Discipline Lead in Dunaway’s Planning + Landscape Architecture department, where she brings a diverse background in design and a particular emphasis on defining spatial relationships and the selection of materials and finishes. A licensed irrigator, she has been involved in many design/build projects, including multiple residential and commercial landscapes, outdoor living areas, and restaurant space planning.
Mr. McLaren brings over 27 years of engineering and leadership experience, making him a great fit for his new role. He firmly believes in the power of outreach in the AEC industry through active leadership and coaching. Mr. McLaren’s dedication to effective communication and ability to successfully lead engineers while managing multiple concurrent projects make him a vital part of the RLG Team.
American Bank is excited to announce that Stephen (Steve) Jukes has joined the team as a Senior Commercial Lending Officer. Steve will work with American Bank’s Houston team and will be an integral part of the bank’s growth and success in the greater Houston area.
Steve has nearly 40 years of commercial banking and financial services experience. While much of his career has been invested in his hometown of Houston, Steve has also worked in Atlanta and Macon, GA. He earned his degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Steve and his wife have two adult children and are members of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church. In his spare time, Steve enjoys fishing, hunting, and cooking on his smoker.
The Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) announced the recipients of its annual Economic
Excellence Recognition program for 2022. The awards were presented on Friday, February 24th, during the TEDC’s 2023 Legislative Conference in Austin, Texas.
The Economic Excellence Recognition program provides recognition to economic development organizations that meet a desired threshold of professionalism. Recipients qualify for recognition based
on training taken by their governing board/council as well as the economic development director and
professional staff. Certifications, professional memberships and activities, and organizational effectiveness of the economic development staff also contribute to the standards for qualification.
