Colt Moedl President, Utilities at Primoris Services Corporation

D. Alex John, Jr. Design Director, Associate Principal at LPA Design Studios

LPA Design Studios has hired veteran Dallas design leader D. Alex John, Jr. as Associate Principal and Design Director of the firm’s growing Dallas commercial practice.

John joins LPA after 18 years with HKS Architects, most recently as vice president and senior designer. He will complement a Dallas studio that is actively expanding its portfolio of commercial, education, workplace and life science projects. John will work on a wide range of project types, leading an inclusive, collaborative design process that prioritizes measurable results in performance, healthier environments and facilities that work better for the users.

John brings a wide range of experience to his new role, including design for hospitality destinations, health science facilities, corporate campuses and education centers. The Oak Cliff resident is an active leader in the community and serves on the Board of Directors of The Real Estate Council, the local commercial real estate association.

Partners Real Estate shares two promotions

Partners Real Estate has promoted top-performing industrial brokers Zane Carman and A.J. Williams to partner.

Mr. Carman joined Partners in 2018 and recorded his best year ever—closing over one million square feet of leasing transactions, and half a million square feet of sales in 2022. He has consistently been among Partners’ strongest performers, and cracked the company’s Top 10 Producers for 2022 in arguably the most competitive year the firm has ever had.

Mr. Williams also joined Partners in 2018 and quickly amassed an abundance of strong client relationships including a wide range of industrial development, manufacturing, and distribution companies. He closed out 2022 with more than one million square feet of sales and 800,000 square feet of lease transactions. Mr. Williams also ranked among Partners’ Top 10 Producers of 2022.

In addition to being one of the finalists for NAIOP’s 2022 Industrial Rising Star awards, Mr. Carman’s notable recent transactions include the sale of 63,000-square-foot building at 20807 Clay Center Drive, the sale of 47.20 acres of land located at 11022 Telephone Road and the lease of Cedar Crossing Building B, a 99,000-square-foot industrial property.

Mr. Williams’ notable recent transactions include the sale of 8700 Fairbanks North Houston, a 237,404-square-foot industrial warehouse on 88 acres of land, the lease of 7300 Thompson Road, a 277,377-square-foot distribution center and the sale of 4000-4001 Homestead Road, a 76,595-square-foot industrial facility on 10 acres of land.

Ryan Therrell Regional Director at The Beck Group

EDUCATION:  Texas A&M University – College Station

Ryan Therrell was promoted to Regional Director, leading Beck’s Austin Office. Before his promotion, Therrell spent 15+ years as Beck’s Director of Client Services. He played a vital role in the Austin office’s growth, helping it win many of Beck’s most high-profile architecture and construction projects.

A few notable design-build projects he is responsible for include: RiverSouth, The new Texas Bankers Association Headquarters, 924 East 7th Street Office Building, and 600 West 5th Office Tower.

Additionally, he was integral to Beck winning the design of the Dell Jewish Community Center Expansion and multiple construction projects at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Ryan recently established Beck’s Special Projects Group, which focuses on tenant improvement and asset repositioning. They recently won the Texas Permanent School Fund’s tenant improvement project, which begins construction this spring.
