On behalf of McKinley Packaging, CBRE announced the ground-breaking of a 500,000-square-foot corrugated box plant in Lancaster, Texas.
The project broke ground on Feb. 1 with an anticipated completion date of November 2022. The plant will add about 125 new jobs in the South Dallas submarket.
Steve Berger and Ann Huntington with CBRE in Dallas brokered the sale of the land.
This facility will be used to manufacture corrugated boxes, which have seen a huge surge in demand due to the growth of e-commerce and companies that now offer direct-to-doorstep shipping. After looking at locations in Louisiana and Oklahoma, McKinley Packaging selected Lancaster for their next packaging plant due to Dallas-Fort Worth’s central location as well as direct rail line access and the amount of land available.
McKinley Packaging is a leader in sustainable paper-based products and packaging in the United States and Mexico.
This will be McKinley Packaging’s fifth packaging plant in the U.S. with two additional plants in Baja California, Mexico.
Brook Mays Music leased a 2,100 square footage space at Cameron Crossing located at 1681 N. Central Expressway in McKinney. The Retail Connection’s David Levinson represented the landlord in negotiating the lease along with Skip Barnes with Roving Real Estate.
Educa Park, LLC leased 6,802 square feet at 651 N. Plano Road in Richardson, TX. Rogers Healy with Fahri Olgundeney represented the tenant and Lynna Smith represented the landlord, Hartman Income REIT.
The Knead Massage, LLC renewed 4,829 square feet at 6505 W. Park Blvd. in Plano, TX. Katherine Morrison represented the landlord, Hartman Income REIT.
The Green Family Art Foundation, a non-profit organization has chosen Dallas ‘Arts District Atelier building on Flora Street to open its permanent venue. GFAF makes grants to museums benefiting and educating others about contemporary art. All programming is free and open to the public. Opening date of the foundation is scheduled in May 2022. This Dallas family has over 25 years of art collecting experience and the expansion into a public space is a mission to promising to bring ambitious exhibitions of international contemporary art with a focus on woman artists, artists of color, and LGBTQIA + artists to Dallas.
