Weitzman Names Blane O’Banion Senior Vice President in Asset Management in Dallas

DALLAS—Blane O’Banion, an experienced retail real estate professional, has been promoted to Senior Vice President I Asset Management for Weitzman, one of the largest retail-focused commercial real estate services firms based in Texas. In this new role, O’Banion handles the asset management for a portfolio of power, community, neighborhood and mixed-use retail centers. O’Banion most recently was senior vice president of portfolio leasing for Weitzman, where he managed a team and directed the leasing for a large portfolio of Dallas-Fort Worth-area retail properties.

O’Banion’s experience also includes service as vice president and regional leasing director for Weingarten Realty Investors, a retail real estate investment trust. In addition to asset management and leasing, O’Banion has extensive experience with retail re-developments and re-tenanting programs.

O’Banion is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers. For ICSC, he is the former State Planning Co-Chair, a role he has held twice, and over the past 12 years has held additional Planning Committee positions with ICSC, the retail industry’s largest trade group.

O’Banion received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
