Newmark V&A Promotes Houston’s Clay Roth to Co-Leader of Multifamily Specialty Practice

Newmark is pleased to announce Executive Vice President, Clay Roth, MAI—located in Houston—and Senior Managing Director Matthew Victor have been promoted to Valuation & Advisory (V&A) Co-Leaders of the Multifamily Specialty Practice. They will co-lead the specialty practice alongside Senior Managing Director Raymond Higgins, reporting to U.S. V&A Practice Leader, Helene Jacobson, MAI, MRICS.

Clay Roth joined Newmark V&A in 2018, serving as Executive Vice President and Multifamily Team Leader for Texas and Louisiana. With more than 30 years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience, Roth’s expertise encompasses all multifamily property types (including low- to mid- and high-rise) ranging from standard, garden-style communities to luxury apartment complexes and student housing. His experience also includes developments operating under the affordable housing programs for state, local and federal agencies for LIHTC; HUD Section 8; HOME; HAP; bond-financed communities; and tax-exempt, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) properties. Roth is MAP-certified through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and is also qualified as an expert witness in civil and federal bankruptcy courts in Houston, Texas.
