Midway Promotes Anna Deans to Vice President, Investment & Development

(HOUSTON, TX) – – Midway, the privately owned, fully integrated real estate investment and development firm, is pleased to announce Anna Deans has been promoted to Vice President, Investment and Development. In this new role, she is the single point of contact for clients and partners, managing strategies and opportunities, and providing the fiduciary role between investors and services. Deans is responsible for managing a high-profile investment portfolio of mixed-use properties, including new development and value-add projects. She also provides support on the asset management of acquisitions and future redevelopment. Deans joined Midway in 2018 as a Senior Development Manager, bringing a strong background in architecture and mixed-use development to the firm’s Investment and Development team. While managing the design and delivery of new construction projects, her leadership and expertise proved instrumental in further establishing Midway’s burgeoning multi-family platform. Deans’ expertise lies within the efficiency of design, functionality, underwriting and project management. She is passionate about collaborating and developing the initial vision for a project while also understanding the implications of cost, constructability, phasing, project restraints and requirements necessary to make a concept reality. As Vice President and Investment Manager, one of Deans’ primary focuses will be Midway’s East River project, 150 acres of carefully designed, multi-phase, mixed-use development that will transform Houston’s waterfront east of Downtown into a new economic center. Working in tandem with David Hightower, who manages and develops the land for the project, Deans oversees all commercial and multifamily development for East River, from inception to delivery of the vertical, to ensure the entirety of the project is aligned with Midway’s investment strategy. “With a majority of her experience in mixed-use development, Anna provides tremendous insight and perspective to our growing portfolio of large, complex projects,” said Larry Sloan, Executive Vice President, Investment and Development. “We have already witnessed her incredible performance working on East River, and we are confident her knowledge, passion and dedication to creating remarkable places will contribute to her continued success at Midway.”
