Landry Commercial Welcomes Sanober Syed and Shannon Johnston

Dallas-based Landry Commercial Real Estate Services has hired Sanober Syed to its leadership team and Shannon Johnston to its brokerage team. As managing partner, Syed will lead Landry’s new healthcare division, Landry Commercial Medical, LLC, representing landlords, tenants and investors in sales and commercial lease transactions in the DFW healthcare market. “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to start the healthcare group at Landry Commercial,” said Syed. “My over 20 years of experience in the healthcare real estate field has impressed upon me how critical real estate is in the delivery of healthcare.” “It was clear to me when I first met Sanober that we were adding a seasoned leader with a great background in healthcare. With Joe Whitmer leading Industrial and Sanober leading our healthcare team, we are rounding out our leadership team at Landry Commercial,” said Brant Landry, president of Landry Commercial. Prior to joining Landry Commercial, Syed was a principal at KOA Brokerage and senior vice president at Hudson Peters Commercial where she successfully sold and leased multiple office and medical office properties. She has also served as Trammell Crow’s director of strategic services for Baylor Healthcare System. In addition, she was a core member of the team that launched Partners Health Trust, a Trammell Crow Company medical office building fund. As vice president, Johnston will represent industrial tenants and owners, helping grow Landry Commercial’s industrial division to further strengthen the company’s position within the industry across Dallas and other high-demand markets. “Brant Landry and Joe Whitmer taught me what a dock was over 11 years ago,” said Johnston. “I’m thrilled to join such a skilled and dynamic team and look forward to our mutual success.” Prior to joining Landry Commercial, Johnston was senior associate within Cushman & Wakefield’s global occupier advisory group. While there, she focused on identifying and delivering industrial tenant representation services to multi-market corporate clients to effectively manage their real estate. She brings a strong specialization in a variety of CRE work, such as lease and sale negotiations, strategic planning, site selection, development and logistics for distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and food-grade facilities.
