Julie Luecht Named Managing Principal of KPMG’S Houston Office

HOUSTON, AUGUST 18 – Julie Luecht has been named Office Managing Principal of KPMG LLP’s Houston office, effective immediately. Luecht assumes the role from Tandra Jackson who is transitioning to her Vice Chair, Growth and Strategy role that was announced on July 6. Luecht will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of KPMG’s Houston office and for supporting the career development of over 1,500 partners and professionals. “Julie Luecht brings more than 30 years of strong leadership and experience providing advisory services to large global, domestic, and mid-market companies,” said Tandra Jackson, Vice Chair, Growth and Strategy at KPMG. “With her deep commitment to serving our clients, developing our people, and making a difference in the Houston community, I am confident she will be highly successful in her new role.” “I am honored, and I look forward to working with our tremendous team of Houston partners and professionals to help our clients adapt and thrive in today’s ever-changing environment, whether driven by economic forces, changing customer patterns, disruptive technologies or the rapidly-evolving regulatory environment,” said Luecht. “I am equally excited to have this expanded opportunity to deepen our relationships in the market and in our communities, to mentor our professionals and help shape their careers, and to build on our strong culture based on a set of values we all believe in.”

Luecht began her career at Mitsubishi Trust & Banking in 1989, and joined KPMG in 1996, where she was admitted to the partnership in 2003. She received her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Southern California. In addition to her client responsibilities, Luecht has held various firm roles – most recently serving as the Advisory Market Leader for the Houston Hub, and US Advisory Industry Leader for the Energy, Natural Resources and Chemicals Sector. Luecht is known among colleagues as a collaborative leader, living our Values of Together and For Better by serving as a mentor and champion of diversity and inclusion. She’s also is active in KPMG’s Network of Women. She’s also passionate and committed to serving her community and is actively involved with the United Way Women’s Initiative, board member for Make-A-Wish and March of Dimes, and a member of Alexis de Tocqueville since 2003. Jackson began her career with KPMG in 1999 and was admitted to the partnership in 2007, becoming office managing partner of the Houston office in 2015. During her five-year tenure as OMP, she has overseen strong growth in KPMG’s revenues, and expansion of the office’s audit, tax and advisory practices and market presence, but she’s most proud of the quality of the professionals and clients he’s had the honor of working with every day.
