DEDC Board of Directors Selects Kevin Holzbog of the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance to Lead Organization Replacing Thom Lambert who is Retiring

The Decatur Economic Development Corporation has completed a 2-plus month search for a new Executive Director. The DEDC Board of Directors selected Kevin Holzbog of the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (and previously the Bridgeport Economic Development Corporation) to lead the organization effective December 1, 2020. Holzbog will replace Thom Lambert who is retiring as the DEDC Executive Director. Lambert says he is very excited about Kevin Holzbog coming onboard to lead the organization into the future. He has worked with and mentored Kevin for several years and watched him grow into one of the top young EDC professionals in the state. He feels confident in leaving the DEDC in his hands. As the Executive Director, Holzbog is responsible for overseeing the DEDC’s mission to promote economic growth by recruiting new industry, working with existing industry and investing in capital improvements to create high-quality jobs and new private investment in Decatur, Texas. His experience and network in the economic development and site selection industries, along with his leadership role on the Texas Economic Development Council Board of Directors, will support the DEDC’s success going forward.
