Transwestern Development Company (TDC) expanded its national logistics group with the addition of Ted Staszak. In his role as vice president of development, Staszak is responsible for identifying and pursuing logistics development projects throughout the Midwest. Staszak has spent the last 22 years as a senior leader in the capital markets divisions at CBRE and NAI Hiffman, where he completed transactions totaling more than $8 billion in total consideration. During his career, he has specialized in industrial real estate dispositions, joint venture transactions and capital raising for development. “Ted’s depth of experience and connections in the capital markets sector from a local, regional and national perspective well positions him to be successful on the development side of the business,” said John Thomas, development partner and leader of the national logistics group. “His perspective and insight on how to make industrial projects attractive to both tenants and investors will be a tremendous asset as we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our partners and stakeholders.” This hire follows a series of senior leader appointments, bringing the national logistics group to 24 professionals across six regional offices. The group develops both speculative and build-to-suit industrial projects, primarily in major distribution markets, with expertise in intermodal logistics, e-commerce, port strategy, sustainability and municipal incentives. “I’m excited to join a firm that has built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality logistics product throughout the country,” said Staszak. “I was particularly attracted to the challenge of translating my background in capital markets into actionable intelligence to guide the development process and build on the momentum this team has created.”
