The deal has been finalized — San Antonio-based H-E-B Grocery Co. will open a new location in Meyerland Plaza.
The grocery giant reached an agreement with Fidelis Realty Partners, one of the owners of the shopping center, to develop a 95,000-square-foot, two-story store, according to a press release. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2019 with an opening planned for the fall.
In addition to the grocery offerings, the new location will also have a parking structure, BBVA Compass Bank, elevator and skybridge on the second floor to connect to the neighboring JC Penney, per the release.
